Garth Braun

President, Chief Executive Officer, and Chairman

Garth Braun is a seasoned oil and gas executive with over 13 years of oil and gas experience combined with 30 years of diversified business experience in finance and real estate. Over the past several years, Mr. Braun has led Blackbird Energy Inc. through the successful acquisitions of two E&P companies, the divestiture of non-core Montney assets, the accumulation of its Montney land at Elmworth and the drilling of Blackbird's Elmworth Montney wells. Mr. Braun was instrumental in raising approximately $165 million of capital for Blackbird Energy Inc. Mr. Braun was previously the Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of an international oil and gas company, an investment banker and a principal of a private real estate development company that completed over $1 billion in real estate development. Mr. Braun is also a founder and director of Stage Completions Inc., an innovative downhole completions company.

Craig Wiebe

Vice President, Exploration

Mr. Wiebe is a Professional Geologist with over 20 years exploration and development experience, the majority being in unconventional resource plays. Mr. Wiebe was responsible for establishing a dominant position in a multi-TCF gas play for a major oil and gas exploration and production company, as well as co-founding a successful startup company that was one of the first to develop the Montney with horizontal multi-stage fracs. Mr. Wiebe has extensive knowledge of the Montney throughout British Columbia and Alberta and also brings considerable operational expertise, having been directly involved with drilling several hundred horizontal wells. Prior to joining Blackbird Mr. Wiebe held positions of increasing responsibility with AEC Oil and Gas, Grad and Walker Resources, Amber Energy, EnCana and Standard Energy. In addition, Mr. Wiebe has completed consulting engagements for a number of companies including Saguaro Resources and Capio Exploration.

Don Noakes

Vice President, Operations

Mr. Noakes is a Professional Engineer that brings over 30 years of operational oil and gas experience focused on drilling, completions, production operations and reservoir exploitation. Mr. Noakes has extensive knowledge of unconventional resource plays having been directly involved in the planning and execution of drilling and completion operations of over 100 wells over the last five years within the Montney, Wilrich, Dunvegan, and Cardium horizons all within the Deep Basin of Northern Alberta. More relevant to Blackbird, Mr. Noakes directly supervised the drilling and completion operations of Montney wells up to approximately 6,000 meters in length within the Kakwa / Jayar region, which is on trend with Blackbird's Elmworth acreage. Most recently, Mr. Noakes supervised Montney wells that achieved a 40% reduction in drilling times through the implementation of the latest bit and motor technology, in conjunction with the optimization of drilling fluids. Prior to joining Blackbird, Mr. Noakes held senior positions through his consulting company at Murphy Oil, Mosaic Energy Ltd., APL Oil and Gas, Bow Valley Energy, and Culane Energy, in addition to permanent positons within Magin Energy Inc. and Mobil Oil.

Jeffrey Swainson

Chief Financial Officer & Corporate Secretary

Mr. Swainson is a Chartered Accountant with broad financial experience in oil and gas exploration and production. Mr. Swainson began his career with BDO Canada LLP where he conducted audits of both privately held and publicly traded companies in the oil and gas exploration and production and oil and gas services industries. Subsequent to receiving his CA designation Mr. Swainson held positions of increasing responsibility with Chevron Canada Resources and Sonde Resources Corp. Mr. Swainson holds a Bachelor of Business Administration Honours degree with Distinction from the University of British Columbia Okanagan and is a member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Alberta.

Ralph Allen, P.Geo.

Vice President, Geoscience

Mr. Allen is an expert in Shale and Unconventional Resources. Involved as a consultant in various horizontal projects since 1993. Registered Petroleum Geologist with 36 years experience in the Western Canadian Sedimentary Basin and exposure to a wide range of Shale projects globally. Previously taught a Shale Resource Evaluation course to companies such as Chevron, Shell, Marathon, Statoil etc. in Houston and London.

Joshua Wylie

Vice President, Land

Mr. Wylie is a Mineral Landman with over seven years of junior oil and gas experience. During his time with Blackbird, Mr. Wylie has been an important contributor to the growth of Blackbird’s Elmworth Montney land position from 30 to over 80 sections, and the advancement of Blackbird’s surface land acquisition and survey requirements for both pipeline and battery infrastructure. In addition, Mr. Wylie was a key team member in the acquisition of a processing agreement for Blackbird’s Elmworth Montney gas and a firm gas take away agreement in the Alliance pipeline to Chicago. Mr. Wylie holds a Bachelor of Commerce degree in Petroleum Land Management from the University of Calgary and is a member of the Canadian Association of Petroleum Landmen.

Mr. Wylie is supported by his wife and two sons.
